Manufacturing Dictionary

GSM

Grams per Square Meter - the weight measurement of fabric that indicates thickness and quality.

MOQ

Minimum Order Quantity - the smallest amount of units a manufacturer will produce in a single order.

TECH PACK

Technical Package - a detailed document containing all specifications, measurements, and instructions for manufacturing a garment.

WHITE LABEL

Products manufactured by one company but branded and sold under another company's name.

DTF

Direct to Film - a printing method where designs are printed onto a special film then heat-transferred to fabric.

SCREEN PRINTING

A printing technique using mesh screens to transfer ink onto fabric, ideal for bulk orders and vibrant colors.

FRENCH TERRY

A knit fabric with loops on one side and a smooth surface on the other, commonly used for sweatshirts and hoodies.

RIBBING

Stretchy knit fabric with vertical ridges, typically used for cuffs, collars, and waistbands.

PATTERN

GRADING
